American Music Awards

So last night I was sitting there watching Grey's when a commercial came on for the American Music Awards. I have always stopped to see who was performing and usually end up watching the show. I love it. It's a guilty pleasure... what can I say? Anyways... of course I paused and then quickly squealed while emailing my TCBlockhead friends about the commercial.

September 2, 2008 - Block Day

There was so much going on yesterday that I couldn't post about it because I had to live it!

First, let me back up to Monday.  Around 10pm the main site, www.nkotb.com, was revamped.  There were tons of issues with things being launched and not connecting and people trying to get on to see the new stuff, etc, etc.  It was horrible.  They need a new webmaster and, yes, I am available... just say the word!  As of right now there is still a Test script in the tour stuff on the front page... come on already!  LOL.  They even messed it up so much that people couldn't get on the site while using Internet Explorer... as you know I'm a Mozilla girl and was on the site right away and help to triage some of my fellow Blockheads issues.  Anyways... go check it out things seem to be working now or just download Mozilla so you don't have that happen to you again, plus this site will look better.

The CD.  The Block was officially released yesterday.  There are a few versions... 

• The Block - orange cover.  It has 13 songs on it and was the "original album"
• The Block - Deluxe - blue cover.  This has 17 songs.  Still great... but not the best.  
• The Block - Deluxe with Bonus - Looks just like the Deluxe but has a sticker on it about the bonus and is only at Target.  So go to Target and get your copy of The Block Deluxe with bonus.  Find the one with a sticker on it saying it has a BONUS DVD included in it.  Some stores may be out... so if yours doesn't have it try try again :)

There is this little thing called Facebook

So I'm a member of Facebook... yep... you can find me I'm sure. Anyways... I signed up for this contest for two VIP tickets to the Today Show that is this coming Monday when the guys are set to preform with Ne-yo. Guess who may have won those tickets... guess who's not going to NYC to the Today Show? All me. Yeah :(

But, on a better note... Katie "Lugo" won and she is from TC Blockheads as well. She's bringing Tiff with her to NYC for the show. We are trying to work some things out so that a few other TC Blockheads can go too... only time will tell. Also, honorary member of TC Blockheads Kristi Smith also won, as you may know she was at MOA with us in the front row.

Wish I could go girls... be sure to take lots of pictures and video if possible! Have a blast and travel safely.

New Kids on the Block and Ne-Yo to rock the Plaza on Labor Day

NEW YORK - NEW YORK – The New Kids on the Block will be back on the plaza performing live on TODAY, Monday, Sept. 1. R&B chart-topper Ne-Yo with join the New Kids for the special Labor Day concert. The New Kids on the Block first reunited live on TODAY in April and then, in their first concert since splitting in 1994, performed as part of the Toyota Summer Concert Series in May.

Celtics & Much Music Video Awards 2008

So yesterday, Sunday, I jumped into the chat room at www.nkotbchat.com. I had been in and out of the room all day and decided to jump back in at game time. If you've been in the room you know it's kinda rowdy and defiantly not PG... but we're grown now... :)

The folks in the chat room have been discussing with each of the NBA playoff games as to who is there and where they're sitting. Donnie has been at every game, Joe was at one... and who knows who else was there... so... we are Where's Wahlberg Watchin.

Needless to say, Donnie wasn't going to be at game 5. He would be in Toronto performing at the Much Music Video Awards show with the other fellas. We're rooting for the Celtics, but hoped in our hearts that the Lakers would win the game because he wasn't there. Plus a win in Beantown would be great!

Wow... the room was poppin. The Much Music Video Awards is like the American Music Awards but in Canada. There was talk about the game - slim... but some. There was a ton of talk about the MMVA's that we starting. They even had a link where we could listen to the award show as it was happening. Which I was of course listening to.

Trisha logged in and I instantly told her to open the link to the awards show sound. She had no clue but the guys were about to perform. Everyone was chatting and excited as could be. We had play by play about what they were wearing and doing from our fellow Canadian chat room friends. We love you Deanna! She even taped it and put it on YouTube for us. Here you go... enjoy!





I know the quality is not perfect... I'm waiting to see if I can find a better version on YouTube... there is the "official" version on http://axs.muchmusic.com. Under the ad on the right changing displaying 1-10 to the next one by clicking the arrow. The guys performance will be on the very bottom - the very last performance.
